Računovodstvena industrija je jedan od sektora koji je primoran da iskoristi rast vještačke inteligencije i mašinskog učenja. Sektor je već prihvatio automatizaciju, sa inteligentnim softverom koji uklanja tradicionalni aspekt računovodstvene uloge. Država već vrši implementaciju digitalnog poreskog sistema i podstakla je računovođe širom države da se suoče sa načinom na koji svakodnevno posmatraju i koriste tehnologiju. Preoblikuje se svijet u kome se računovođe povezuju sa klijentima, sarađuju, komuniciraju i prikuplјaju informacije. Ovo stvara potencijal za automatizaciju, inovacije, ali i određene smetnje. Mnogi već diskutuju kako iskoristiti tehnologiju kako bi pokrenuli poslovni uspjeh, kako maksimizirati prednosti „cloud“ tehnologije i kako najbolјe pristupiti odlukama o investiranju u tehnologiju. Za neke pojedince, ova kretanja predstavlјaju savršenu priliku za automatizovanje ručnih zadataka, pružanje dodatne vrijednosti za klijente, te postavlјanje praksi ili poslovanja za budućnost. Ali za druge, tehnološki napredak je doveo do značajnih prepreka, uklјučujući povećane troškove, vremenske obaveze i zahtjeve za obuku. Ipak, bez obzira na stepen pojedinačnog oduševlјenja ili nespremnost pri rastu mašinskog učenja i veštačke inteligencije, svi znakovi ukazuju da će računovodstvo nastaviti svoj revolucionarni put. Ali šta to znači za ulogu računovođe i računovodstvene poslove?
