Abstract

Performance management is an integrated approach that involves planning, steering, coordinating and controlling activities in the organization to achieve the set goals. This paper presents the results of a multiple case study in the area of performance management for medium and large enterprises. It deals with performance management practices, support of information technologies and systems, as well as the most important organizational barriers that arise in this process. The period of digital transformation brings challenges for managers who need to respond in an effective and efficient way to the newly emerging situation. The key contribution of this paper is analyze the basic processes and problems related to performance management in a dynamic environment.
