Abstract

Тhe development of the idea of liberalism has led from political thought to todayʼs neoliberal economic form and the leading world ideology. The link between globalization, market liberalization, the development of linkages, the influence of international organizations and neoliberalism is interwoven also in this paper, presented in part chronologically, and partly through analysis of market trends and events of significance. In order to liberalize the market, it is important to redefine the role of the state as a “mediator” in all market activities, which, through monetary and fiscal policy, manages market relations. The process of globalization, especially those economically actively changing these relations. However, some authors point out the major shortcomings of the developed liberal market, which are of great importance for further global development and the progress of the market with the trade itself as a process.
