Abstract
A strategy is used to determine basic goals and directions of development, and the position that an organization wants to occupy in the future. For its successful implementation, it is necessary, among other things, for the management to harmonize a reward system and a working environment and an organization's culture with the chosen strategy. Culture and rewarding are two efficient mechanisms of initiating, directing and monitoring employees behaviour. Organizational culture directs the employee behaviour from the inside through their internalized assumptions, values, norms and attitudes. The external reward system directs employee behaviour, by rewarding preferable and not rewarding or punishing other types of behaviour. That is why it is of extreme importance for the organization's management to provide the employee behaviour in the same direction, towards the same pattern or the behaviour model through culture and rewarding. The research is focused on the analysis of influences (relations) between the organizational culture and the reward system and their influence on the strategy implementation. The aim of the paper is to provide answers to a research question "how to provide a strong and positive synergistic effect of the reward system and organizational culture on the implementation of the chosen strategy".
