Abstract
Organization’s strategic governance is a prerequisite for its long-term and sustainable business operations. The strategic plan is used to determine the main ways for a complete realization of the mission and strategic answers to the most important challenges, which the organization faces in the present upcoming period. Starting from key strategic documents (mission, vision, business policy, strategy), it is customary to define the principles and rules which are used to define the framework for the realization of this process. The organization’s position based on the philosophy of total quality, that is, the need to provide customer satisfaction and other interested parties poses a real strategic choice and challenge for everyone. It enables the organization to realize considerable competitive advantage and each interested party to protect its interests and realize its demands. The organization’s management formulates quality policy with the aim of embedding quality principles in all the documents of a quality system and truly implementing them in every part of the organization. The quality policy gives the basis for determining quality objectives by defining the basic governing ideas and the principles of the quality system. Quality objectives turn the business strategy into plans and actions. They are necessary as a base for measuring performances, determining something that the employees will aim for, preventing performances decrease and encouraging the organization's growth through the realization of the determined objectives and determining new, more ambitious ones. The aim of the paper is to research and analyse the compliance and connection of the objectives and the quality policy with a strategic framework in the organization, and to what extent that compliance, that is, connection impacts on the organization's success and its competitiveness.
