Financing is a significant factor that determines the survival, growth and development of any company. In an effort to secure financial resources for their business from the most favorable sources, companies face the dilemma of whether to use internal or external sources of financing. The research is focused on external (borrowed) sources of financing of companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Efforts will be made to determine the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic on the use of bank loans, microcredits and financial leasing by companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The aim of the research is to determine the extent to which companies in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Republika Srpska and the Federation of BiH) used external sources of financing in the past five years, and whether the COVID-19 pandemic affected the possibility of their use in 2020.
