Abstract

The aim of this work is to analyse the impact the coronavirus pandemic has had on the macroeconomic stability of the Republic of Srpska, regarding the pandemic as the economic shock with its effects on the global level. It will be considered how pandemic has influenced on consumption, industrial production, investments, trades, capital flow and supply chains. The key economic result will be decrease of GDP caused by pandemic, not by usual sources of economic fall. Although this work will present the analysis of economic fall of the Republic of Srpska, current economic measures and their effects can hardly be estimated, as well as the duration of the global recession, due to specific factors of the virus which has caused crysis in healthcare and whose conduct in the future cannot be anticipated. The economic shock is to be alleviated by support and stimuli to industy via stability and preservation of work positions, it still stays uncertain how long and intensive the shock will be depending on impact of the Covid -19 pandemic.
