Abstract

SMO in Ukraine, regardless of its geographical limitation, made its consequences multiple, layered and of a global character. The special operation hit the world economy, which has the direct consequence of creating new geopolitical and economic circumstances, caused primarily by the rise in energy prices as well as disruptions in global supply chains. The sanctions that were introduced against Russia have repeatedly affected the countries that introduced them. Certainly, this global economic crisis has left consequences on national economies as well, which is precisely the subject of research in this paper. The paper deals with the analysis of the movement of selected macroeconomic indicators in Serbia during the period of SVO. The conclusions reached in the research point to potential challenges that Serbia, like other countries in the region, faces.
