Abstract

The process of globalization and the growing internationalization of economic life, especially intensified at the turn of this century, have led to radical changes in the structure and implementation of the diplomacy of each country. In the foreground, instead of the traditional political priorities erupted economic and business priorities. Economy (in combination with geopolitics) became the basis of international relations. The most developed countries, which based its power on economic superiority, military supremacy and dominance in the field of manufacturing, its foreign policy priorities increasingly transferred and linked to the economic sphere, trying to realize their interests, among other things, strong diplomatic economic arrangement. Economic diplomacy is a set of economic incentives official representatives of a country towards international and global economic trends and institutions. The mission is in the best possible presentation of the economic performance of their country with the aim of increasing and improving exports, dynamic attracting foreign direct investments, participation in the work of economic and financial institutions, presentations at trade fairs and exhibitions, and in any other place that has significance for the economic development and expansion. Economic diplomacy has great importance for the country, such as Serbia, seeking to accelerate economic development and economic integration.
