Abstract
In information economy, productivity and competitiveness of companies depends on their ability to create, process and apply of the knowledge-based information, relying on intensive use of information technologies. Despite the attempts of setting in a time frame, it can be said that the information age is still ongoing. Its characteristics, maximum use of information and communication technologies and the Internet, integrated into all spheres of life.Information economy is global, highly productive and includes the profit resulting from the speed of innovation. Synonyms are the knowledge economy, and the new network economy. The impact of the information revolution is reflected in the appearances of E-commerce (business transactions using electronic communication and digital technology).The new technological revolution leads to significant changes in the labor market. All are sought after experts in the field of IT and information economy, but also numerous providers of intellectual services, such as scientists, professors, journalists and others. In the new, dynamic and creative environment, lifelong learning is essential in all business spheres, which will be feasible thanks to information technology.
