Abstract

The paper will address the specificities of human resources management in banks, with an emphasis on the situation in the countries in transition. A human resource strategy for banks and highly developed countries will also be addressed, with an emphasis on the human resources quality management strategy and its applicability in transitional countries. Modern trends will refer to improving the performance and quality of human resources in banks, with particular emphasis on top management, central and operational management in banks. The paper will deal with the management strategy and leadership in the banks, with emphasis on the characteristics of managers and special characteristics of the leaders in individual sectors of the bank and at the level of the bank as a whole. Concluding remarks will define proposals related to the application of modern trends in human resources in domicile banks.
